My tidbit for today comes from my hubs. After 35 years of life experience he has discovered something extremely useful and he wants it shared. Here it is…how to butter your toast. If you use real butter in your house (I’m not talking about margarine), you may have noticed it can be a little difficult to spread on toast. We use organic butter and we buy the sticks. Great tasting, but can be a bit difficult to work with. When I would make toast I would try to plan ahead?and get the butter out so it could be softening up. Or I would put a slab of butter on the toast, as soon as it came out of the toaster, and let it sit for a minute to soften it up so I could spread it easier. What I did worked fine, but? my hubby came up with an easier way. Just rub the end of the stick of butter around on the toast. The toast gets buttered perfectly without any shredding or ripping of the toast and it has the perfect amount of butter on it.

  1. It works really well. Just use small circular motions or the butter stick will start to bend.
