Some of the best times I have with my kiddos are the times where I get to act like a kid myself. Last week we went to a place that let me do just that, Wacky World. If you have kids and live in the Springfield, MO area, then I highly recommend this place to you. This place is a blast for kids of all ages. Here’s a picture of me enjoying one of the slides they have. This slide happened to be my favorite and I lost track of how many times I went down it.

Wacky World is a facility holding over 8,000 square feet of fun. It’s full of inflatables of all kinds; bounce houses, obstacle courses, mazes, slides. They’ve also got a couple of gaming systems and an air hockey table that you can play on at no additional charge. If you’re worried that your kid might be too little, don’t be. They have a really fun inflatable for kids 5 and under that has two slides, a bouncing area and basketball nets. Parents can play on all of this with their kids.

The second best thing about this place is the price. They’re open 7 days a week, but Monday thru Friday it only costs $5/kid. After 2 kids it’s then half price and parents are free. Weekends are a little higher, but since we homeschool I’ll probably always go during the week. And they let you bring in your own food and drinks. If you’re thinking of going for the whole day, pack a little cooler with some lunch and sit at one of the tables they offer. Clean up your mess and you’re back to playing for the rest of the afternoon.

While we were there I grabbed a couple of fliers they had. I thought I’d go ahead and share that information with all of you. Every Friday they offer a parents night out. From 6:30-9:30 you can drop your kid off to play and it only costs $10. Three hours for 10 bucks, that’s a pretty cheap Friday night sitter. Something else they have coming up is for Black Friday. They’re offering on Friday, November 27th from 7am-9pm, that you can drop your kids off while you go do your shopping. This will be $10 a kid for 3 hours.

They are located at 4234 South Reed Road, near the Nature Center at Glenstone and Republic Road. Check out their website, www.wackyworldkidz.com. It is an easy site to navigate around and it tells you everything you need to know. While you’re there, ask them about their family membership. It’s a steal of a deal!!

  1. Oh my goodness was it a blast! If you parents out there are out of shape…you'll know it within 30 minutes! This place is fun to play and great exercise also.

Looks like so much fun, I’ll have to keep it in mind for grandparents when Max is old enough for sleepovers. Love the pic!

We had Aubrey's 9th Birthday party there last July! Everyone loved it. They provided everything and all we had to do was mail the invitations they provided and show up. Awesome place! Very clean and wonderful staff.
