Wow thanks for sharing! It's amazing how much God teaches us through our hardships. I learned so much through my parents' divorce – I became more independent (from fam) and most importantly I learn to depend on Jesus. I can't say I'm thankful they divorced. But I am thankful for how God used it in my life.

Thank you for sharing this. I can understand how the hard and difficult times throw a shadow on things, but we can all find the bright side of them if we are willing to look.

I think it's a great thing for everybody to consider those things we've gone through that we can now be thankful for though we couldn't at the time. Those things in our past that were difficult or just negative, turn us into the people we are today. Great post!

It is hard to count your blessings when times are tough. It is difficult to see the good around you when there is so much bad. But, if you concentrate on the good, the bad begins to fade away. I am thankful that you are such an awesome wife and I am thankful for our wonderful kids. I am thankful for the freedoms our service men and women fight for and I am thankful for God's grace which grants me eternal freedom. And thank you, for writing this post.
