Lately I have been taking?steps to live a healthier lifestyle and to provide a healthier life for my family.? As I was glancing over my recipes on here, I realized that there may be some that don’t fit into what I believe to be a good choice anymore.? I have had some eye opening experiences about food that have changed the way I eat, grocery shop and cook.? I will be looking over all of my recipes more closely?and removing the ones that I would no longer fix for myself and modifying any that need it.? If there are recipes on here you would like to have, now is the time to copy them down.? They may not be up much longer.

The human body heals itself and nutrition provides the resources to accomplish the task. ~ Roger Williams, PhD

Two new recipes have been added to the page.? They are both under the Main Dish section; Cheesy Potato Hamburger Soup and Chicken and Dumplings.? Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve added any recipes.? I lost my directions on how to do it and was too proud to ask my husband to show me, AGAIN.? I found the directions last week so I’ll try to be better about getting new recipes on regularly.

I’m really happy about this chicken and dumplings recipe.? I’ve always wanted to be able to fix chicken and dumplings, but was always too afraid to try them out.? I’m not sure what I was so worried about.? It could’ve been because my Grandma made awesome chicken and dumplings when I was growing up so I was afraid mine couldn’t hold a flame next to hers.? Well, mine aren’t Grandma’s, but I would definitely be proud to serve them to her.? They turned out great.? My hubby’s not even a fan of chicken and dumplings and he thought these were really good.? This is now a regular dish served at our table.? I’m glad that many, many years down the road?I’ve got this recipe to serve up to my grandkids.

Here’s something interesting to ponder from Alfred E. Newman, “We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons.”?
